dc motors, a USA-based rock band in the Washington, D.C. area. Playing an average of 225-300 gigs each year since forever!!! The band plays at least 50 weeks a year, 4-6 nights a week. The band plays within a 250-mile radius of Washington, DC. They play an unusually wide variety of styles, the emphasis being on good music. Although the band has it's own unique style, it does not limit itself to any one musical style. They tend to play to an audience rather than for, and they encourage audience interaction when appropriate. We encourage questions and comments about the band, its members or band history. The band's cover material emphasizes 'get up and dance.' They have a rapid-fire style, with very little time between songs, except for injecting humor and audience interaction. They have excellent 3-part harmony and three strong lead voices. The emphasis is on fun and p r o j e c t i n g l o v e. The cover material includes over 500 songs ranging from Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, Counting Crows, ect, ect,and even Uncle Cracker ;-)classic and modern rock. This broad range in also reflected in their original songs, both in recorded and as yet non-recorded material. They are adept at 'reading' the audience, and leaning in their direction. To make a long paragraph short, "they like to have fun".
